Will I be asleep?
No. To an observer, however, you will appear to be asleep. You will be in a deep state of relaxation when in a trance. Since all of your senses are magnified, you are actually more alert and aware of your surroundings while you are in hypnosis. You are in complete control at all times.

What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
You will feel a profound sense of relaxation and comfort. It is an extremely peaceful feeling. Most people experience different bodily sensations ranging from limbs feeling very heavy, tingling sensations or a feeling of floating. Some even deny they were hypnotized because it feels so comfortable and "normal".

Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes. Any person of at least average intelligence and ability to focus can be guided into a deep state of relaxation. This does not include those who have a serious mental disorder or who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Above all, the person must be willing. The natural defenses in your mind will prevent you from entering the alpha stage if you do not participate. Hypnosis is a natural and safe process that can be effectively used with children, teens and adults.

What is hypnosis used for?

How many sessions does it take to see results?
The results vary among individuals. It is very common to experience positive change with only one session. Reinforcement sessions may be necessary to see continued positive changes. It also depends on the issues being addressed. Issues that have been a concern for more than 6 months typically require multiple sessions. Reduced rates are offered for clients who come back for follow-up sessions. It is suggested that Anxiety and Stress Reduction clients visit at least monthly. Weight-Loss clients typically visit twice a month until goals are reached. Average smokers require from one to three sessions to become smoke-free.

How do I get the most out of my session?
It is suggested that you come to your session wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothing. Avoid large amounts of caffeine or sugar products before your session. Do not worry about performing or doing anything correctly; simply enjoy the experience and you will be amazed at the results!
